We are seeking an experienced System Operator to support and operate cloud and production environments, including system monitoring, batch processing, online requests, backup management, and incident handling. The role requires hands-on experience with AS/400, Control-M, Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud, and production operations, along with strong communication skills in English and Japanese to support Japanese speaking users. The position involves 24×7 shift operations with on-site 12-hour shifts. 

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience;
• Diploma or above in Computer Science or a related discipline;
• Sound hands-on experience with AS/400, Control-M, Microsoft Azure, and AWS Cloud;
• Good experience in system monitoring, batch processing, production operations, and handling online/ad-hoc requests;
• Experience managing backup systems and performing daily system health checks;
• Strong understanding of cloud operations, IT risk, security policies, standards, and standard operating procedures;
• Good command of written and spoken English and Japanese to support Japanese speaking users;
• Japanese language proficiency is mandatory to support the Japanese market;
• Willingness to work 7×24 shift duty and on-site 12-hour shifts for 4 days, followed by four days off, including weekends and public holidays.

Desirable Skill(s)

• ITIL V3 Foundation certification is preferable;
• Experience supporting overnight and weekend production batch/output processing;
• Experience in production issue resolution and incident handling;
• Experience supporting IT projects and coordinating with IT project teams;
• Experience facilitating the resolution of cloud operations issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor cloud environments in compliance with established standards, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures;
• Respond to console messages, perform system monitoring, manage batch processing, and handle online and ad-hoc requests;
• Support Control-M, Microsoft Azure, AWS Cloud, Media Management, and Life Asia systems;
• Perform overnight and weekend production batch/output processing and resolve related issues;
• Manage backup systems and conduct daily system health checks;
• Monitor cloud operations and promptly notify relevant participants regarding incidents;
• Facilitate the resolution of issues related to cloud operations;
• Evaluate changes affecting the computer room and production/development environments for potential operational impacts and risks;
• Assist with special IT project implementation, support, and coordination with IT project teams;
• Ensure operational activities comply with IT risk and security policies and support SLA and service targets;
• Support Business Unit and other Group initiatives while maintaining compliance with internal and external audit requirements;
• Maintain a proactive and responsible approach while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
