AWS SysOps Administrator

We are seeking an experienced AWS SysOps Administrator to join the Global Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE), responsible for managing and maintaining AWS infrastructure, cloud services, security, availability, backup, disaster recovery, and cost optimization. The role requires strong hands-on experience with AWS services, CloudWatch, EKS, CloudFormation, networking, automation, and cloud infrastructure operations.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant IT experience;
  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline;
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and EKS;
  • Experience in AWS infrastructure provisioning, lifecycle management, automation, security, and administration;
  • Strong experience with Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring AWS resource health, utilization, availability, and performance;
  • Hands-on experience with AWS backup, disaster recovery, data integrity, and access control;
  • Experience with AWS networking, including VPCs, gateways, URL proxies, C2S access points, Bastion Hosts, and on-premise/cloud network connectivity;
  • Experience troubleshooting AWS infrastructure and network-related issues and providing root cause analysis (RCA).

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Experience with AWS CloudFormation, infrastructure automation, resource tagging, governance, billing, and cost optimization;
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure patching, upgrades, backup, disaster recovery, and EKS cluster management;
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and automation of AWS operational tasks;
  • Experience migrating on-premise infrastructure/applications to AWS and managing hybrid cloud connectivity. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage, administer, and maintain AWS infrastructure and cloud services, ensuring availability, performance, security, and operational efficiency;
  • Monitor AWS resource health and utilization using Amazon CloudWatch and proactively troubleshoot infrastructure issues;
  • Manage AWS backups and disaster recovery while maintaining data integrity and appropriate access controls;
  • Provision and automate AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and other automation approaches;
  • Create and manage VPCs, gateways, URL proxies, C2S access points, and Bastion Hosts, coordinating with network teams for required connectivity;
  • Monitor AWS billing and implement cost optimization strategies through resource tagging, governance, budgeting, and reporting;
  • Manage the complete AWS lifecycle, including provisioning, automation, security, upgrades, kernel patching, and infrastructure optimization;
  • Manage and monitor EKS clusters and support CI/CD pipeline implementation and scripting for AWS operational automation;
  • Support migration of on-premise infrastructure and applications to AWS and establish/manage network connectivity between on-premise and cloud environments;
  • Troubleshoot AWS network and infrastructure issues and provide RCA and resolution.
