System Manager

We are seeking an experienced System Manager to lead the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise IT infrastructure;

The role is responsible for managing a team of system engineers, ensuring high system availability, overseeing infrastructure upgrades, driving operational excellence, and providing technical leadership across Windows, VMware, networking, and security environments.

Mandatory Skill(s)

  • Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field;
  • Has 6+ years of hands-on systems infrastructure experience with 3+ years leading a team of at least 3 system engineers;
  • Strong administration of Windows Server 2019+, Windows 11, Active Directory (GPO, OU, User Administration), and Microsoft SQL Server 2019+;
  • Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, virtualization, and infrastructure upgrades;
  • Experience in Windows patch management (WSUS), Windows CA/SSL Certificates, antivirus solutions (Symantec SEP/SEPM, Trellix ePO), and backup & recovery;
  • Good understanding of networking (Layer 2/3, Routing, IPSec VPN), security concepts (PAM, EDR, RSA), and centralized logging tools (Splunk, Syslog);
  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and change management;
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor engineers.

Desirable Skill(s)

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of system engineers, providing technical guidance and operational oversight;
  • Manage system availability, preventive maintenance, health checks, and monthly operational reporting;
  • Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, including servers, operating systems, VMware, network devices, and COTS platforms;
  • Review, assess, and implement system changes, ensuring proper impact analysis, testing, and rollback planning;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, server, virtualization, and network-related issues;
  • Administer and maintain Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware, and security infrastructure;
  • Oversee patch management, SSL certificate lifecycle, antivirus management, backup & recovery, and centralized logging;
  • Ensure infrastructure security, compliance, system performance, and adherence to operational best practices.
