• Strategic Sourcing & Category Management is responsible for procurement (e.g., purchasing and supply chain activities) (e.g., negotiation, purchase, and relationships associated with outsourced services). Specializes in overseeing and managing strategies for procurement of information technology (IT) initiatives, formulating goals, objectives, and timelines. Collaborates with management to understand business requirements and develops plans to achieve objectives, such as cost savings, cost avoidance and concluding of contractual negotiations.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Law, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline;
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, IT procurement, vendor management, contract management, commercial negotiations, preferably within banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments;
• Strong experience reviewing and negotiating IT contracts with technology vendors and service providers;
• Familiarity with procurement and sourcing processes across IT categories;
• Good understanding of contractual risk management principles;
• Experience working with legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders in regulated environments.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Experience within banking or financial institutions;
• Familiarity with MAS outsourcing guidelines and technology risk management requirements;
• Exposure to enterprise technology procurement and large-scale transformation initiatives;
• Experience negotiating with major technology vendors and system integrators;
• Knowledge of software licensing models, cloud commercial structures, and IT service agreements.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate IT contracts with suppliers on IT initiatives across the Bank;
• Working in close collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement colleagues, Group Legal and IT stakeholders to protect the Bank and to optimize the value from the supply market;
• Ensure compliance to bank's policies, process standards and guidelines;
• Ensure the right risk culture through strong communication lines with stakeholders and colleagues.
