We are hiring a Senior Java Cloud-Native Technical Lead with 10+ years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka/messaging, CI/CD, cloud-native development, and application performance tuning.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT is preferred.
- Must have 10+ years’ experience in web and stand-alone application design & development with Java/JEE/big data technologies in Unix/Linux environment;
- Strong hands-on experience in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, MVC, Data, Integration, IoC) and Spark Streaming;
- Strong knowledge on code version management tools such as GitHub/GitLab/BitBuket;
- Good knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and no SQL (Hbase, MangoDB) database systems;
- Strong expertise in distributed systems and messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, and Apache Kafka;
- Experience of working in TDD and BDD environment with standard testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, selenium and SOAPUI).
Desirable Skill(s)
- Experience in the banking, payments, or cash management domain is highly preferred.
- The role also involves technical leadership, architecture/design, code reviews, mentoring, vendor management, production support, and ensuring software engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality solutions following defined engineering standards.
- Own application design and cloud-native development with hands-on technical involvement;
- Ensure code quality, maintenance, and non-regression across applications;
- Review functional specifications and assess technical feasibility and impact;
- Perform design and code reviews and contribute to non-functional testing;
- Estimate development efforts and actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies;
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure software engineering standards;
- Provide L3 production support, troubleshooting and resolving complex application issues;
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership to the team;
- Manage and challenge vendor teams on technical solutions, deliverables, quality, and adherence to Factory best practices.
