We’re looking for an experienced QA Tester (5+ years) who can ensure applications run smoothly by analyzing requirements, creating and executing test cases, and working across portals, APIs, and backend insurance systems.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Must have 5+ years of experience in software testing/QA;
• Solid understanding of testing concepts, methodologies, and the QA lifecycle;
• Practical experience in designing, executing test cases, and managing defects;
• Comfortable testing across web portals, APIs, and backend systems;
• Familiar with tools like Jira Zephyr (or similar test management platforms);
• Able to quickly understand requirements and turn them into effective test scenarios;
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Experience in API testing (Postman or similar), SQL for data validation, and Agile/Scrum environments;
• Exposure to core insurance systems, integration testing, and General Insurance domain (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and user stories to derive comprehensive test scenarios and test cases;
• Design, create and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts;
• Prepare and manage test data required for execution;
• Execute test cases and perform thorough data validation across portal, APIs and backend systems;
• Track test execution progress and update results in Jira Zephyr;
• Log defects with clear details and supporting evidence;
• Perform regression testing to ensure system stability after changes;
• Ensure testing milestones and execution targets are met within timelines;
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and/or other relevant tools;
• Validate integrations across core insurance systems and supporting sub-systems/ecosystems;
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
