Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and independent leader to join our founding team at Sciente Consulting Sdn Bhd. This role will focus on driving the talent acquisition strategy and later, HR operations for our IT services division, primarily catering to our IT services.

Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tech talent acquisition specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Design and implement innovative sourcing and hiring strategies to attract top technology talent.
- Drive best practices, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and a strong candidate experience.
- Analyze trends and market insights to continuously improve hiring outcomes
- Ensure compliance with policies, legal requirements, and ethical hiring practices.
- Build, develop and manage a high-performance TA delivery capability serving SCIENTE’s hiring requirements;
- Review the demand on a daily basis and allocate job descriptions and govern the productivity to ensure that TA specialists deliver the results;
- Manage and execute the end-to-end TA process for project requirements from sourcing strategies to offer negotiation, acceptance and onboarding, as per Sciente’s operating processes and standards:
- Work with various client success managers, to understand the expectations and articulate the expectations to your team members;
- Locate, identify and engage with potential candidates through the use of Job-Boards, Social media, LinkedIn, user groups/associations, candidate referrals, networking, etc.;
- Be a coach to potential candidates by consultatively understanding their matching skills, capabilities and aspirations
- Profile the shortlisted candidates to using Sciente’s standard processes.
- Facilitate the interview process to hire the right candidates;
- Coordinate offer negotiations, providing an exceptional candidate experience.
- Take full accountability of client success for existing client projects.
- Prepare and manage daily talent acquisition reports, ensuring accurate tracking of key metrics.
- Ensure the compliance of internal processes and internal system is updated by team members.
- Manage any escalations related to HR operations for our tech consultants.
- Represent SCIENTE in local events, MDEC, other agencies to build SCIENTE brand and to facilitate work pass processes.
- Assist in opening up opportunities for new client acquisitions.
Hire and manage an HR operations executive, once we have 50 Associates in Malaysia, to:
- Manage employee data and HR records, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and company policies.
- Administer HR processes such as onboarding, employee transitions, and exit procedures.
- Support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate information is provided to payroll teams.
- Monitor and support employee benefits administration, including health insurance, leave management, and other employee-related benefits.
- Ensure all HR documentation is up to date, including employment contracts, policy updates, and compliance-related documents.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, performance management cycles, and training programs.
- Provide general HR support, answering employee inquiries and resolving any HR-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Who shall fit-in the best for this role?
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Must have at least 10 years of experience in KPI-driven technology recruitment/talent acquisition within a vendor / external client serving environment.
- Must have technology recruitment experience working in Malaysia.
- Must have successful track record managing a team of tech talent acquisition or recruitment consultants.
- Experience in HR operations, ideally within an IT services or consulting environment is preferred.
- Experience managing IT services-related hiring and HR operations i.e. on-boarding of project based consultants.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

- Experience in managing P&L related to recruitment services
What is the career progression path?
- Based on aptitude for excellence in client experience and loyalty inspired, the role can be expanded to general management with P&L responsibilities.
