Job Overview:

The Head of Tech Recruitment Business will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, growth, and overall operations of the technology recruitment division. The role involves leading a team, developing long-term client relationships, and ensuring the recruitment services align with the company’s vision of supporting digital transformation and intelligentisation initiatives. This position requires a combination of leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the technology talent landscape.

 

What is expected from this role?

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement business strategies to grow the tech recruitment division in alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
    • Identify new markets and business opportunities, focusing on high-demand areas like digital transformation, AI, cloud computing, cyber security and data analytics.
    • Collaborate with other business unit leaders to integrate recruitment services with broader consulting and technology offerings.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate strong, long-lasting client relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their recruitment needs.
    • Oversee client negotiations, service agreements, and ensure successful delivery of recruitment services that align with client expectations.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing recruitment team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
    • Set and manage performance metrics, ensuring team members meet and exceed targets.
    • Drive continuous improvement in recruitment processes, tools, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Business Development:
    • Proactively develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities for both permanent and contract placements in key technology domains.
    • Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and client needs to stay ahead of industry demands and adjust the recruitment approach accordingly.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth recruitment workflows, from sourcing and screening to final placements.
    • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, placement success rates, and client satisfaction metrics.
    • Manage P&L for the tech recruitment division, optimizing resource allocation and maximizing profitability.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Ensure adherence to all legal and compliance requirements related to recruitment activities, including labour laws, data privacy, and contractual obligations.
    • Implement best practices for candidate and client data management, maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

 

Who shall fit-in the best for this role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field.  
  • 10+ years of experience in the recruitment industry, with at least 8 years in a leadership role, preferably in the technology sector within Singapore.
  • Strong knowledge of technology sectors such as software development, AI, data science, cloud computing, and digital transformation.
  • Proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and achieving revenue growth targets within Singapore.
  • Experience in managing P&L related to recruitment services.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to market changes and client needs.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with technology talent trends and recruitment tools/platforms.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
