DevOps Engineer

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled DevOps engineer to work on project with a leading bank.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, including change management, automating software development processes, and application/software product support;
• Proven ability to design, implement, and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, following strict change management standards;
• Strong experience in setting up, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure and environments in both public and private cloud platforms;
• Proficient in troubleshooting and providing solutions to technical problems in assigned systems, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption;
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities to address complex technical challenges;
• Strong understanding of software, programming languages (Python, Go, Perl, Shell), and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform);
• Advocate for Best Practices and available for out-of-hours support.

Desirable Skill(s)

• DevOps tools (Hashicorp toolset, Atlassian toolset) Desired;
• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, Banking and Financial Services knowledge;
• Effective verbal and written communicator.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of best coding practices and automation while ensuring adherence to quality standards and project constraints;
• Continuously explore and adopt methods to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency;
• Align development efforts with Chief Architect roadmaps and strategic goals;
• Ensure systems meet established service levels, including availability, security, and performance requirements;
• Influence the overall architectural direction and decision-making process;
• Deep understanding of public and private cloud concepts, particularly in compute, networking, storage, and data management;
• Expertise in cloud-native application architectures and microservices design;
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality, troubleshooting, efficiency, and design integrity;
• Develop and uphold software development standards, including component design and release management;
• Proactively identify and address technical debt to maintain system health and scalability.
