Application Programmer

Our client is looking for an Application Programmer who will be providing exceptional technical support, automating tasks, streamlining workflows, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information System;
• Sound knowledge in Capital Markets Domain; 
• At least 3-5 years of experience in providing L1 / L2 support;
• Possess ITIL certification;
• Strong knowledge in XML, PL/SQL, MQ, CFT and Control-M, Kafka;
• Experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, and strong SQL skills;
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms, NoSQL databases, and ITIL concepts;
• Possess experience in UNIX Shell Scripting;
•  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with business users;
• Independent, proactive, able to work under pressure, and manage time efficiently.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Good Knowledge on Regulatory Reporting (MAS,HKMA,EMIR,JFSA,CFTC,MIFID);
• Knowledge of monitoring and Observality solutions (E.g ITRS Geneos, Elastic Search, Grafana).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing L1 / L2 support for trading & investment related applications;
• Fix bugs, troubleshoot and analyze on the root cause analysis;
• Collaborate closely with other internal technical / business teams to implement permanent solution;
• Follow escalation procedures during outages;
• Responsible for SLA & KPI management, predictive analysis, consulting, escalation management, risk analysis and project execution;
• Write SQL scripts and suggest automation to improve efficiency / effectiveness of support team;
• Adhere to change management requirements for application and system implementations.
