We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage and deliver complex IT projects related to core banking platforms and systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in banking IT systems, including project management best practices, trade finance and regulatory requirements.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and relate discipline;
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or Product Manager in a banking IT system environment;
- Understanding of the full IT system design, development, and implementation lifecycle (SDLC);
- Understanding of Banking Architecture and its application within project management;
- Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite, business intelligence tools, Data Migration and ETL processes;
- Proficient in MS Project, MS Office, or any other Project Management tools;
- Knowledge of global and local regulatory reporting frameworks such as FATCA, SDIC, MAS, HKMA DPS, FGDR, AML;
- Strong understanding of Trade Finance and Capital Market products.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Familiarity with analysis methods and languages such as UML (Unified Modeling Language);
- PMP certified.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to build, maintain, and ensure adherence to the annual core banking system roadmap;
- Proactively identify risks, and work with relevant stakeholders to propose and implement mitigation and contingency plans;
- Create action plans with stakeholders to address project constraints and challenges, ensuring alignment on deliverables and timeline;
- Oversee the end-to-end progress of the project, ensuring that the project stays on track with respect to planning, budget, and scope;
- Manage projects and resources related to the modules under your responsibility, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficient execution;
- Ensure that all activities under your responsibility are completed on time, adhering to defined quality standards;
- Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, including updates on risks, issues, budget status, and scope;
- Facilitate and manage Sprint Planning/Closure, Retrospectives, and monitor team velocity to ensure efficient and effective delivery;
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance on best practices, banking standards, and regulatory requirements;
- Define and propose necessary actions to secure the successful delivery of the project while managing risks and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
