L2 Applications Ops Engineer

 We are seeking an L2 Application Ops Engineer to assist with DevOps, enhance continuous improvement, and manage daily operations for a renowned bank.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in production support, infrastructure support, or a development role;
• 3+ years of experience with UNIX environments and scripting languages like Python or PowerShell;
• Hands-on experience with tools like Ansible, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes;
• Experience with task schedulers such as Control-M;
• Good understanding of IT ecosystems and application architectures;
• Willingness and availability to work on shifts;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, proactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn and explore new technologies.
   

Desirable Skill(s)

• Knowledge of CICD pipelines, ITIL, Agile, Lean practices, Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, or Dynatrace;
• Experience in Banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure SLA, priorities, and incident severity are managed;
• Follow service request, change, incident, and problem management processes;
• Manage technical issues and escalations, delivering quality support;
• Collaborate with ITS and BLI teams;
• Propose solutions to reduce repetitive tasks and improve system reliability (automation, monitoring, security);
• Implement CICD pipelines for faster delivery and standardize processes between Dev and Ops;
• Share knowledge through WIKI and promote training;
• Coordinate complex operations like DRP tests and review release roadmaps, ensuring post-event checks and reporting.
