An exciting opportunity for Application Support Engineer, responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, scripting automation, maintenance and performing application deployment related tasks to ensure application stability and performance.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology;
- At least 2 years of experience in IT service management or support roles in large scale organizations with diverse IT systems;
- Strong experience in Application Support & Troubleshooting;
- Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and database management;
- Knowledge of Linux/Red Hat, SSH, and system debugging;
- Experience in application maintenance, deployment, and patch management;
- Familiarity with ActiveMQ, CORBA, and RESTful APIs;
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and software architecture design;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective issue resolution;
- Good communication skills for collaboration with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure);
- Experience in Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, React.js, JSP, CORBA, Maven, ActiveMQ, Oracle SQL, Linux (Red Hat).
Responsibilities
- Provide for application-related issues, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, and escalate complex issues when necessary;
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, backups, and code changes, ensuring application stability and security;
- Assist end-users with queries, provide training, and document common issues for future reference;
- Manage incidents through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement;
- Collaborate with IT teams, development teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless application integration, support, and maintenance;
- Deploy and test applications in DEV and UAT environments before production rollout.
