We are hiring Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and stability of Credit Risk Reporting applications. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and optimize solutions that meet compliance, regulatory, and business requirements. Your expertise will drive improvements in software quality, data accuracy, and overall system performance in a complex data environment.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Have 5+ years of experience in SQL, PL SQL and data warehousing;
- Have strong knowledge of various test methodologies, including BDD, TDD, and white-box testing, with hands-on experience in tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and Rest Assured;
- Advanced expertise in Oracle databases, including setup, PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, query writing, and query tuning;
- Proficiency in CI/CD with Azure DevOps, setting up new pipelines, and using Ansible for playbooks;
- Strong scripting abilities in Bash, Python, and Shell;
- Foundational knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes, along with tools such as Azure Data Factory;
- Familiarity with Linux OS and experience working on cloud environments, preferably Azure.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Familiarity with JMeter, Gatling, Postman, and SoapUI;
- Background in Credit Risk reporting, Banking, or Insurance.
Responsibilities
- Engage actively in all development stages, from Business Analysis to test cycles, to ensure seamless delivery and quality assurance;
- Design, develop, and implement test strategies, plans, and cases, including functional, integration, and system testing;
- Enhance automated testing, improving test coverage, reducing manual effort, and ensuring high-quality code. Increase end-to-end test automation and coverage daily;
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and related DevOps practices using Azure DevOps, and automate test integration in the development process;
- Conduct data quality checks, data comparisons, and testing of data models, with a focus on PL/SQL, query tuning, and Oracle database environments;
- Improve stability, performance, and reliability of Credit Risk Reporting applications to comply with IT security standards;
- Work with developers, business analysts, and testers to optimize and streamline IT processes and the overall testing approach.
