Senior Software Engineer (Calypso)

We are seeking a Software Engineer focusing on the development, maintenance, and support of IT applications.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience;
• Experience supporting capital market applications and trading systems, particularly in Market Risk/Front Office, with strong knowledge of financial products (Treasury, FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF, etc.);
• Expertise in Calypso Back Office, including customization of modules like Remote Services, Engines, Events, Filters, Reporting, Scheduled Tasks, SWIFT messages, Transfers, Settlement, Accounting, Prices, Workflows, and Reconciliation;
• In-depth knowledge of Confirmations, Settlement, Position, and Accounting modules;
• Understanding of financial assets (FX, Treasury, repos, bonds, SLB, issuances) and trade lifecycle;
• Experience with regulatory reporting (HRF, NORIA, MMSR);
• Strong communicator and problem-solver, adaptable to new technologies, with a passion for learning, team growth, autonomy, and effective time management.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design and Microservices (Spring Boot);
• Exposure to Capital Markets applications and Hands-on experience in implementation projects.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop software and utility programs;
• Analyze user needs and create solutions with engineering principles while ensuring secure coding;
• Manage software configuration and oversee release implementations;
• Guide testing teams, ensure smooth integration, troubleshoot issues, and stay updated on industry trends and regulations;
• Participate in R&D and proof of concept for new technologies;
• Automate tasks using Python, shell scripting, and other tools;
• Develop Java applications for Calypso v14.4 and internal components;
• Manage incidents, support releases, and provide Level 3 support to resolve issues;
• Effectively share ideas, solve problems, ensure security, and collaborate with engineers to integrate infrastructure and create performance specs;
• Work with engineers to integrate hardware/software systems and develop performance requirements.
