We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated System Engineer who has strong Windows Server Management experience to help manage the installation, configuration, testing and support in IT system implementation projects.
Mandatory Skill(s)
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering;
- At least 3 years of experience as a System Engineer with experience in managing Microsoft Windows or Red Hat Linux servers;
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and system applications like MS SQL Server, backup solutions, and application servers;
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, including Checkpoint, as well as network device administration and troubleshooting;
- Knowledge of IT security policies and operating system hardening;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective issue resolution;
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skill(s)
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V;
- Knowledge in networking technologies encompassing Fortinet, Sophos and Cisco switch, router, and firewalls.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with solution providers to set up and troubleshoot IT hardware in Data Centre environments;
- Plan and execute system administration tasks, including installation, deployment, and commissioning;
- Maintain accurate documentation, including reports, checklists, and system configurations;
- Manage hardware/software inventory and resolve IT issues with timely support;
- Perform maintenance on VA servers, network equipment, and cameras, providing 24/7 standby support;
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently;
- Apply updates to systems for optimal security and performance (Windows Server, RHEL);
- Monitor software licenses, ensure compliance, and implement security best practices;
- Support system upgrades and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
