Devops Engineer

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Devops engineer to work on project with a leading bank.

Mandatory Skill(s)

• We are seeking a skilled IT/Engineering professional with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
• Having 5+ years of experience in Devops & Minimum 2+ years of hands-on expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD);
• Experienced with NGINX, JBOSS, and Spring Framework;
• Proficient in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle, with expertise in indexing, partitioning, replication, and backups;
• Skilled in Git/GitFlow, CI/CD workflows, test automation, and maintaining code quality;
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including VPCs, object storage, and cloud security;
• Strong background in web test automation, load testing, and chaos engineering methodologies;
• Strong understanding of software, programming languages (Python, Go, Perl, Shell), and automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform);
• Advocate for Best Practices and available for out-of-hours support.

Desirable Skill(s)

• DevOps tools (Hashicorp toolset, Atlassian toolset) Desired;
• The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, Banking and Financial Services knowledge;
• Effective verbal and written communicator.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of best coding practices and automation while ensuring adherence to quality standards and project constraints;
• Continuously explore and adopt methods to enhance team productivity and operational efficiency;
• Align development efforts with Chief Architect roadmaps and strategic goals;
• Ensure systems meet established service levels, including availability, security, and performance requirements;
• Influence the overall architectural direction and decision-making process;
• Deep understanding of public and private cloud concepts, particularly in compute, networking, storage, and data management;
• Expertise in cloud-native application architectures and microservices design;
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality, troubleshooting, efficiency, and design integrity;
• Develop and uphold software development standards, including component design and release management;
• Proactively identify and address technical debt to maintain system health and scalability.
